Vision
Reduce and mitigate human suffering through advancing smart implantable device technologies
Mission
Develop technologies and tools for the research and clinical communities as basis for improved diagnostics and treatments in future clinical products
About Sentiomed
Sentiomed was created by Drs. Florian Solzbacher and Nassir Marrouche and Greg Zehner to help advance precision and personalized medicine by identifying the need for specific novel (implantable) sensors and associated technologies, to help better understand pathological pathways and open up new treatment options. A core principle of our work is to provide the best possible functional solution, while minimizing invasiveness where possible and maximizing biocompatibility. The development of biocompatible long term stable or biodegradable hydrogels for use in passive and active coatings as well as smart hydrogels and polymer structures for innovative sensing modalities of physiological markers are at the core of our efforts. Our work has included hydrogel based equilibrium glucose and metabolic sensors for type I and type II diabetes and other conditions, monitoring of cardiac markers and associated drugs such as factor Xa and Heparin, anesthesia agents and markers and conventional physical quantities such as blood and intracranial pressure for the use in shunt monitoring e.g. for use in hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injury and other related conditions. We offer development of coatings to improve biocompatibility for implants, as well as implantable sensor technologies from proof of principle to prototype, including necessary instrumentation and developed with full regulatory design controls for research applications. We look forward to helping you advance your product vision.
